Saying Goodbye

BY IN authors, Blog 2 COMMENTS , ,

Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things to do. I said goodbye to my podcast this year and it was very painful. For the last 4 years I have happily produced Book That Author, met lots of wonderful people and made very good connections but my world was changing. The time I spent organizing, scheduling and producing the podcast could be better spent elsewhere. My productivity has gone up leaps and bounds just by saying goodbye. For the first time in 4 years I was not working on a yearly podcast schedule and it felt so liberating. In my last blog some of you may have read about another freeing journey about becoming overly obsessed with what people think. In one conference my life changed and that change brought enough productivity that I actually wrote a book in 3 days. That has never happened before and I write for a living.

What do you need to say goodbye too? Is it a relationship? It is your time on social media? Is it that book process that you’ve spent years on? Let it go and see what happens next. Let it go and see what doors open. Let it go! It just might be the very thing that opens the gateway for your next level up.

Want to join me in letting go? Let’s talk.

I’m sorry that I missed your podcast, only learning of it now. I think that we’ve all been in the same boat. I’ve run long term projects that had become part of my life, two television series in fact, and I had a similar experience. I loved the connections and the production itself was fun, but the relief I felt when it was finally time to end after five years was also very real.

Good luck with your books and new endeavors! 🙂

      Hi Wendy,
Thanks so much for your comment. Turning the page is always difficult, but once it is turned with the right spirit you can move on to better things. This has truly worked out for the best and wish you better days ahead now that you have turned lose of the television programs. Have a blessed day!
